OTHER PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO LOCAL SENIORS

FRIENDLY VISITING AND TELEPHONE ASSURANCE
The Visiting Program offers seniors who are convalescing, confined to home, or just lonely companionship and reassurance.  Volunteers provide social interaction for seniors who may not otherwise have any personal contact.  A visitor may go to the senior’s home for an up-to-an-hour visit.  Clients may request two daytime visits per week.

The Telephone Reassurance Volunteer calls the client based on an agreement made between themselves and the volunteer.  A maximum of five daytime calls may be requested.  An application process must be completed prior to the initiation of either service.

HELP IN THE HOME
Do you need an extra hand around the house?  If so, call 626-574-5130 for a list of potential aides to provide housecleaning, meal preparation, laundry, transportation, and other assistance for a fee.  Some of the aides in our registry are certified, licensed and/or bonded. Upon completion of an application, an information package and list of potential hired hands will be sent to you.
