The Development Services Department is charged with the responsibility of facilitating responsible development within the City of Arcadia and provides comprehensive land use, economic development, engineering and transportation services. Under the direction of the Assistant City Manager/Development Services Director, the Department is organized into the following four divisions:
ADMINISTRATIONThe Department Director manages all department activities as well as a variety of capital improvement and administrative projects. The City’s transportation program operates within this division. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENTThe Community Development Division is responsible for building, planning, code services and business license. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTThe Economic Development Division encourages and supports development and redevelopment of certain areas of the City and attempts to stimulate and promote quality business in Arcadia. ENGINEERINGThe Engineering Division provides engineering services for the City including traffic engineering, inspection of public projects, and development related engineering.
