Hands on History for Families Hands on History for Families events at the Museum are on selected Saturdays from 12-2 p.m. (unless otherwise noted), free, drop-in programs for the entire family to enjoy. Children should not be left unattended.

Back to School Blast
Saturday, August 21 Mandatory check-in 12:15pm Program starts 12:30pm (program approximately 2-2.5 hours) Pre-Registration Required! Registration form available here. The Museum will be collaborating with the Library to provide a day of fun activities to show what school is like for other cultures around the world. Activities includes a bento box demonstration showcasing a significant part of Japanese culture where mothers make packing lunches an art form and an opportunity to make German schultutes (cones given by parents for a child’s first day of school filled with school supplies and treats). Participants will also learn about how school was like long ago in Arcadia. In person priority registration for Arcadia residents only at Museum front desk (with valid ID) available on July 31 from 10 am to 3 pm. An online registration form will be available until reservation list is full. Availability is limited, only 6 tickets maximum per family. |
