The Arcadia Veterans
Local History Room

Honoring All Who Served

The Arcadia Veterans Local History Room is a permanent exhibit space dedicated to all veterans of the City of Arcadia.  Every three months a new veteran is presented with their own personal story of their experience as a veteran.  In addition, each veteran that exhibits their story will be asked to share their oral history of their military experience on audio-visual media, to be recorded by Museum staff.  These recordings will be permanently archived in the Museum’s Arcadia Veterans Oral History Collection.  The Curator is currently taking names to add to the list of future veteran exhibitors.  Please call Dana Dunn at (626) 574-5468 for more information.

Korean Conflict period.

The Museum also continues to invite Arcadia’s Veterans to contribute to the pages of the veteran’s registry which is displayed in the Arcadia Veterans Local History Room.  Pages for the registry are available at the Museum’s front desk.  For an added feature, veterans are encouraged to also submit a copy of a photograph of the veteran.  Family members of deceased veterans are also encouraged to participate.

This exhibit honors all Veterans of all ages in all arenas.  Arcadia wants its Veterans to know that they are appreciated for their dedication and sacrifice.
