ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR RECREATION CLASSES IS NOW AVAILABLE The City of Arcadia Recreation and Community Services Department provides a broad spectrum of recreational activities, programs and direct services. The Senior Citizen Services Division offers many programs and activities for those 50 years of age and above, including a monthly newsletter that details current activities. A brochure about the activities available for youth and adults is mailed to all households at regular intervals and is also posted on this website. Two City Commissions work closely with this department – the Recreation and Parks Commission and the Senior Citizen’s Commission. These volunteer groups serve in an advisory capacity to City staff and the City Council. They provide input, act as a channel of communication between government and the public, and make suggestions on programs and activities. Both Commissions meet once a month; check the Community Calendar for details.
