General Services

General Services is responsible for the daily care and maintainenance of all City facilities, infrastructure and fleet vehicles.  General Services provides efficient, economical maintenance and repair for 12 City facilities, 18 City parks and 1,700 City-owned streetlights as well as over 250 vehicles and pieces of equipment used by all departments.

Street Lights:

To report a streetlight problem, first determine whether the light is owned by the City or Edison. 

• City-owned lights are labeled with a yellow metal holder securing black number about 5 feet above the ground.

• Edison-owned lights will have a long, metal tag with a number beginning in "E".

Having determined the ownership of the light, please have ready the following information:

• The address or specific location of the light pole.
• The streetlight number of the Edison number
• Nature of the problem
